glass in foot?

My daugther has autism, she will not let anyone touch her foot. My older daugther thinks she has glass in her foot, or it could be a insect bite. Is their a way i can tell if its a bite or glass. Will glass work its way out of the foot?

An insect bite will heal in a few days, while glass will not. If it is glass the area may become infected. Generally, glass does not work its way out of the foot.
What will probably happen is if it is glass, it will have to removed under sedation.
