heel problem

My heel has been in pain every time I walk on it. It's almost as if there is some bump on my heel but every time I touch it..there is no bump. If I press down on it hard enough..the pain is definitely there. Do you know what it is? When I press down on it..I think the pain sorta comes from the side of my heel, not the direct center of my foot. Hi Jenn, There are a number of sources of heel pain (read my section on that subject) but the thing about your "story" that caught my eye is that the pain is not located to one area. In those instances I start to think about either a heel neuroma or a heel bursitis. In either event you will need to see a foot specialist in order to get an accurate diagnosis and then some treatment.
