intense itching inside my foot particularly in the heel

by Monica
(Barrington, IL)

I have itching inside my skin on my heel and into the arch of my foot. The itching will not stop. I think it is some kind of nerve pain.
Do you understand the problem? It isn't just a little itch. It itches so bad it is painful, and there is nothing I can do to relieve it.
Please let me know what I can do.

Hi Monica,
Assuming the skin on your foot is clear, then you may be right about the itching being neurological in its origin. You will need to see a doctor as there is prescription medication available for this.
The actual source of the itching will also need to be identified and hopefully your doctor can then alleviate the itching on a permanent basis.
