itchy little lumps on my foot

by Tricia
(France,)

Hi there, I have had these little lumps on my the ball of my left foot for a fair few months now. At first I thought it was a form of athletes foot, but I have been treating it and it still hasn't gone away. I have had urticaria before and although similar to that, this is only on one foot, and I had never had little lumps. It is really itchy and then becomes very sore. Have you any ideas???

Hi Tricia,
It is hard to diagnose skin conditions when I can see them, so you can imagine how hard it is when I cannot see the foot.
Anyway, it may be fungus (athletes foot) and the cardinal mistake people make is that they do not use the medication long enough. Most of the topical medication should be used twice a day for a minimum of four weeks. Also wash and dry your feet very well every day, even twice a day if need be.
Assuming you do that and your problem continues to persist, you may need topical or oral prednisone to get rid of the problem. At that point I would see a doctor.

Me too?
by: Leslie

I think I may have the same thing. I have been to the dr. he apparently didn't know what it was because whatever he had tried then ( year or more ago) didn't work.
