numb + painful big toes

the outer Half of both big toes is completley numb on the outside & aches on the inside. there is somtimes a strange itching sensation. im having trouble standing up all day at work for 12 hours, but dont currently have money to see a podiatrist. what can i do?

Hi,
On a limited information you supplied me, my first impression would be a nerve entrapment (pinched nerve) either in your lower back or local nerve irritation in the area of the big toes from shoes that are to tight.
I do not know if you are male or female, but wearing a more boxier shoe may be helpful, along with taking anti-inflammatory medication (if you can tolerate them) for 10-14 days.
If the problem is coming from your lower back you obviously will have to see a back specialist.
Good luck.

Me Too!
by: me too!

Hi!
I have the same symptoms. Numbness in the toes (especially the big one) and they burn and itch. But it's a wierd itch because they are numb! It's driving me crazy! I also get headaches, ringing in the ears and vertigo. Some joints (elbo especially) are sore. Help! Ive been to doctors and so far nothing!
