I can feel a snap when I put my 4th toe in certain positions like a tendon moving back and forth. The 4th toe will feel a hot pain when this happens. Overall the 4th toe is now numb. I have had this since May.
Hi, Since Morton's neuroma (read my section on this subject) generally affects the third and fourth toe, it is not uncommon for patients to come in complaining of numbness in the fourth toe (or third toe, or both). I would venture a guess that when you pull the toe back the tendon may indeed be pressing on the enlarged nerve and giving you pain. This is all a guess on my part since I cannot examine you; I would suggest you visit a local podiatrist to get confirmation. Marc Mitnick DPM
