pain in my foot

by martha anello
(las vegas)

I am haveing terrable pain in my left foot. I will wake up in the morning and be fine , but as the day whears on I will have pain. Its located in the back of the foot thear is no redness and no swelling. I also have flat feet. thank you

Hi Martha,

I do not have much to work on here other than it hurts as the day wears on and it hurts in the back of the foot.

My first thought would be an Achilles tendonitis. The second thought would be a pump bump. This would occur if you tend to wear dressy shoes on a regular basis, and would tend to occur more in shoes than when barefoot

I hope this helps.

FOOT PAIN
by: Jackie

I have the same problem. I have this pain in the back of my right foot. There is no visible swelling nor bruises. When I get up off the bed or chair my foot can hardly support my body. I am otherwise healthy. I am unable to workout like before due to this pain that started about a month now. Can this be a real serious medical condition?

Hi Jackie,
If you have a pain that is as debilitating as you state, then the smart money would be to have a doctor look at the problem. The good news is that there are solutions to this type of problem, but I would suggest you see a foot specialist and not rely on the expertise of your family doctor.
