Painful knot on bottom of my foot!

by NOODLES39
(NAPTOWN, MD)

the knot was smaller about 1 week ago, now it has become a little bigger. it hurts to wear heels because of the location of the knot...when i push hard on the knot, it HURTS! it's sort of soft on the outside but you can feel the knot inside, no openings on it, same color as rest of skin but redness is present. the knot is visable when looking at the bottom of my foot. WHAT IS IT, IT HURTS!?!?

RENAE

Hi Renae,
The most common "knot" on the bottom of the foot is due to a plantar fibromatosis, of course without actually examining you, I do not know if this is actually what you have.
Two points: you have a lump that does not belong there and you have pain. This would be two good reasons to have a doctor look at it.

knot on bottom of my foot or feet
by: Anonymous

For the past 5 years, I've been experiencing something very strange. The bottom of my foot would start itching. Of course I scratch it but it is a constant itch. As the day goes on, I start feeling a knot growing on the bottom of my foot. It gets to the point where I can't even walk on it. It's not a small knot. It's about 2 inches in height and maybe 1-1/2 inches (could be less) in width. It's very painful to walk on. I've been to an allergist and he pretty much said it was hives. He gave me a benedryl shot and an allergy shot. Nothing happened. It didn't go away. I sometimes get this in the palms of my hands also. Can someone please tell me how to cure this or what I should do? It's very annoying and it's interfering with my everyday life.

Plantar Wart
by: Anonymous

Yes this is more than likely a Plantars Wart. I had three large ones. I took care of mine with a home remedy, its quite painfull and long but it doesnt require surgery. Everynight I soaked cotton balls with appple cider vinegar and then duck taped them over the warts. they will eventually come up to the surface, turn black and then fall off. In the morning i would give yourself time to sit and let them breath after taking off the vinegar.
