sharp pain inside my skin on the bottom of my foot(on the heel area)

The bottom of my foot is this little tiny sharp pain feeling. I twice try to dig around that small (sterilized) area. Maybe it was a bite mark of some bug or something that bit me their, but In the beginning I thought a splinter got deep in; so I tried to see but when I dug it was like little bubbles (on fresh inner skin) and so I kinda sliced them with a needle and a lot of blood got out in that sharp area where it felt pain. And several times I slice that bubble. But the bubble wasn't something you can pop, it was more like a skin bubble. Can't describe that. So finally I stopped never got to an end and wrapped it up with bandages and left with a hole. And already my third week with a painful feeling when I walk it feels like a splinter ,feeling sharp. What do you think it is?

Hi Nana,
There is a very good chance you have a splinter or some other foreign body in your foot. I am not really sure what you mean by a "bubble" but the only thing I can think of would be what is known as a sterile abscess. When there is a foreign body located anywhere in the body, the body attempts to wall it off by forming an abscess around the item. The idea being that once this abscess is broken, it will drain and in that drainage will be the foreign body. Apparently, whatever you feel in your foot is still there and it is quite apparent you can not get it out by yourself. My best advice to you would be to see a foot specialist in your area and let a professional probe the area to see what is going on. Aside from any pain you may be experiencing you also run the risk of developing an infection because of the fact that you have an open area of skin that you are walking on. Even keeping a dressing on the wound still does not guarantee you will not get the area infected.
