A pain shoots up the heel of my foot, last for one minute but it is so intense and very painful.Nothing relieves the pain, I have to wait for it to subside. This will happen three/four times a day. I can be resting, walking or driving, it happens at no particular time or when I am doing a particular exercise.
Hi Beverly, This type of pain is generally not from plantar fasciitis or heel spur. The two things I would have ruled out are heel neuroma and heel bursitis. Both are treatable. Marc Mitnick DPM
