strong burning sensation in middle three toes of right foot

About once every couple of weeks I get a strong burning sensation in the middle

three toes of my right foot. Today it hit me as I was driving. I had to find
a parking lot to drive into so that I could remove my shoe and massage my foot.
This time the pain was more severe than usually. Nothing seemed to help. The pain lasted about forty minutes. Do you have any ideas on the reason or the
cure?

Hi,
Your symptoms are very suggestive of Mortons neuroma. Many people have come into my office with a similar complaint.
If you are getting the attacks more frequently and they are more painful when they occur, then you need to see medical attention because the condition does not seem like its going away any time soon. Keep in mind, the worse they get, the harder they are to treat.

it could be RSD or major causalgia 'Nerve Damage
by: steve s.

I was diagnosed with RSD,,which is now one of those dysfunctions that was put in with Major Causalgia.. it is caused from the dysfunction of the sympathetic nerve,,and a person has no control of it happening and to this point and time there is no cure for it...Cymbalta was working for me but as of today it seems like my body has even got use to it,,to where I am going to have to talk to my pain management doctor to see if there is something else i could try...good luck cause it comes and goes and just pray it does not stay for any length of time cause the burning pain is very hard to deal with...

Toe Burning Sensation on Right Foot
by: Anonymous

I have been getting the same type of burning sensation except it is in the last three toes on the right foot. It feels like there is a "blow torch" on them. It happens about once a week. That can I do at home and what type of Doctor do I go see? Thanks
