stubbed big toe now chronic pain and burning sensation

I banged my foot on a step going up felt a pain it has been about a month now.Have pain behind big toe and toe next to it also feel a burning sensation in same area can't bend big toe either Had xray done said there was nothing broken in foot looked good.I have been trying to stay off it Been putting ice on it and trying to keep it elevated also decided to wrap it don't know what is going on,since xray showed nothing Help please

Hi Lynn,
I would have another xray, sometimes fracture, especially small ones do not show up initially after an accident.
If there is still no fracture on the second xray you may need more aggressive treatment from your doctor.
