toe turned black after bunionectomy and hammer toe surgery

After bunionectomy on left big toe and hammertoe surgery on the third toe on my left foot, the second toe on that foot has turned black. It has been 10 days after my surgery. Should I be alarmed?

Hi,
What you should be doing is calling your surgeon to allow he or she to look at the toe to determine if there is a circulation problem or just the black and blue discoloration that happens to some people after surgery.
Give yourself peace of mind and let your surgeon look at it.
